	CHALLENGE

Sync Survey contracted Objectware to develop a Mobile and Web-Enabled survey management application. The goal was to provide the ability to conduct surveys using a lightweight PDA and then have results viewed via the Internet. Field Surveyors required the means to download surveys to a PDA, conduct the data collection in the filed using Palm handheld devices and then upload the results. Administrators would need to have instant access to the results and reporting tools at anytime and from anywhere.

	SOLUTION

Objectware developed a fully functional Web and a Palm OS data synchronization application

for SyncSurvey that allows customers to construct their own survey online (i.e. create various types of questions such as Multiple Choice, Yes/No, Free Text etc). The application also enables full control over the behavior of questions such as Required Responses, Date/Time format validation and question order. Employees conducting surveys in the field can now download the latest surveys to a PDA, conduct the data collection and then upload the complete results.

Administers can login to a secure website repository, view survey progress and use a comprehensive reporting tools to analyze and display survey data as it becomes available. Administrators also have full control over users and security permissions and restrictions. Now Sync Survey’s clients can obtain professional market research in a much more timely and cost-effective manner then is possible with paper-base systems.
